Ending hunger, one community at a time

Why we exist

Our mission is to end food hunger in the UK. Every year, 6.7 million tonnes of food are wasted here. Food waste occurs during production, processing, distribution, at the retailer and in the home. The majority of surplus food is sent to anaerobic digestion (energy recovery). We believe that this food should be donated to communities in need, so we can put an end to food hunger in the UK.

Retailers

Retailers and food-to-go stores can play a huge role in helping us to end food hunger. Sign-up to our platform and we will connect you with local charities and organisations that can use your surplus food to feed those in need. Work with us so that you can have a greater impact in your local community and reduce food waste.

Charities

Charities and community groups are the backbones of our communities. Without them, we would not be able to eradicate food hunger or help those in need. To increase your impact in local communities, charities can sign up on our platform. We seamlessly match you to your local food stores with surplus food, enabling you to deliver it to those in need.

Community Hubs

Over 8.4 million people in the UK struggle to get enough food to eat. To tackle this problem, we create local community hubs to provide food to families in need, empowering communities to help themselves by partnering with local retailers and food suppliers. Contact us if you would like to learn more about our community hubs.

Community Hub Partners

You don't have to be a retailer or food-to-go store to help us achieve our mission to end hunger. Our partners provide tools and resources that will empower their local communities and help those in need. Join our group of incredible partners so that together we can empower communities.

“Using Food Drop helped us to reduce our costs, as we were able to provide snacks to the 100 young people we support weekly. The platform makes it easy to share collections between myself and four other support workers!”
